The Press Golfing society has raised thousands for the Journalists’ Charity despite being unable to run an actual live golf day this year. The annual event, which is normally held at the Berkshire, had to be cancelled because of Coronavirus restrictions.

The Journalists’ Charity’s mission to boost awareness and engagement is moving up a gear, with the appointment of a new outreach champion.

Ellen Bramley, who previously worked at the Society of Editors, takes up the post tasked with spreading the word about the charity’s vital role.
