The Journalists’ Charity’s annual general meeting will be held on Wednesday 12th May at 12:30pm by video conference. The meeting will include reports on 2020 from the charity’s chair, and treasurer, as well as the re-election of some council members. The Journalists’ Charity is delighted to announce it’s teaming up with The Drum to announce the coveted ‘journalist of the year’ award at their forthcoming ceremony.  As part of The Drum, the international news group for marketing and media industries, the awards are hosted annually to celebrate original, clever and thought-provoking work in journalism and online publishing.

The original musical score to the hit animated Christmas classic ‘The Snowman’ has been donated to the Journalists’ Charity as part of its fundraising auction.

The piece by composer Howard Blake was written to accompany the 1982 adaptation of Raymond Briggs’ children’s book and features the festive favourite ‘Walking in the air.’
