The annual awards, organised by the Wales branch of the Journalists’ Charity, have been running since 2014. The 2023 awards will be held at Cardiff’s prestigious Parkgate Hotel for a glittering evening of networking and celebration.

A very special fun evening at Birmingham Repertory Theatre has raised a substantial sum for the Journalists’ Charity, with the receipts still being counted.
Billed as a Night of Stars, it featured a Jasper Carrott and Friends compilation marking ITV newscaster Bob Warman’s near 50 years in television.

On Monday evening St Bride’s Church hosted another magical carol service to herald the start of Christmas. Readings from some of the biggest names in media joined a packed church to sing carols and listen to the magnificent St Bride’s Choir.

British Journalism Awards’ third Public Service Award supported by the Journalists’ Charity16/12/2022
Hundreds of journalists working for UK media who risked their lives by travelling to the warzone of Ukraine this year were recognised with the British Journalism Awards’ third Public Service Award.
The special recognition award was accepted on every journalists’ behalf by Olga Malchevska, the BBC News Ukraine presenter who was live on-air in February when she first saw images of her childhood home in Kyiv after it had been destroyed by a bomb.
