We are delighted to welcome Alison Gow, Alison Phillips and Richard Burgess to the board of Trustees.
Alison Gow has been a journalist for more than 30 years, working across print and digital brands including the Liverpool Echo, Daily Post, and WalesOnline.
Alison Phillips is a journalist, editor and commentator and formerly Editor in Chief, The Mirror.
Richard Burgess has been Director of BBC News Content since Sept 2022. Richard is responsible for all news content and current affairs within the UK and globally and member of BBC News Board.

Tributes to Nick Powell26/07/2024
The Journalists’ Charity’s Wales Committee are shocked and saddened to hear of the death of our friend and colleague Nick Powell.
Nick, a distinguished political journalist and editor with extensive decades-long experience in Welsh broadcasting and latterly international affairs, is reported to have died of natural causes while attending a media conference in Azerbaijan for online political journal EU Reporter.

Journalists’ Charity Wales Media Awards 2024 announced03/06/2024
The Journalists’ Charity’s Wales Media Awards 2024 are now open for entries.
News organisations and individual journalists are invited to submit works published or broadcast between 1st June 2023 and 31st May 2024.
The deadline for entries is 26th July 2024.
The Wales Media Awards recognise individuals who have demonstrated outstanding commitment and contribution to journalism in Wales in both English and Welsh across print, online and broadcast journalism.

Supporting and celebrating Journalism17/05/2024
At a time when journalism has never been more important to society, the Irish Ambassador, His Excellency, Martin Fraser held a reception to celebrate and recognise the contribution of British and Irish Journalists.
Held at Irish Embassy in London (May 16, 2024) , leaders from across the sector had the opportunity to reflect on the role of journalism during such a challenging period in global affairs with a contribution from Sky News legend Kay Burley.
