We are delighted to welcome Alison Gow to the board of Trustees.
Alison Gow has been a journalist for more than 30 years, working across print and digital brands including the Liverpool Echo, Daily Post, and WalesOnline.
In two decades of working for Reach plc, she conceived and implemented a number of digital transformation projects and brand launches for Reach plc, including the digital-first newsroom model. Most recently Alison restructured the Nationals and Regionals multimedia departments.
Alison said ”I have always been an admirer and supporter of the Journalists’ Charity, and have seen first hand the important work it’s funded, including supporting the Journalism Diversity Fund.
Nowadays, with the cost of living crisis hitting people in many different ways, it is more important than ever that journalists at every point in their career know the JC is there for them should they need it.
Becoming a trustee is a privilege and I am thrilled to be a part of the team and building on the great work that’s already been achieved.”
