Award entries

News organisations and individual journalists are invited to submit works published or broadcast between 1st June 2024 and 31st May 2025.

A distinguished panel of judges, comprising senior journalists from Wales and around the UK, will judge the entries.

Awards dinner

As well as celebrating individual and collective success, the awards also showcase the Journalists’ Charity’s wider work in supporting working and retired journalists and their families who might be facing personal challenges and hardship.

Information on how to purchase tickets for the gala dinner event will be announced in due course.

Sponsors and Supporters

The Journalists’ Charity’s annual Wales Media Awards recognise individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to journalism in Wales. This is at a time when a free news media has arguably never been more important in a democratic society.

The Journalists’ Charity is grateful to sponsors and supporters without whose support the Wales Media Awards would not be possible.
